NORTH END PARK.

CHILDREN’S SPORTS TO-DAY With the sports gathering for the primary' schools under the auspices of the North End Improvement Association, the North End Park should present a very animated appearance this afternoon. No stone has been left unturned by a large and energetic committee to provide amusement for all, and a comprehensive programme or running and novelty events which has been carefully drawn up promises to keep competitors busily occupied throughout the afternoon. Additional interest will be lent by the setting asido of special aggregate contests m which points will be allowed to the primary schools whose nominated representatives are placed, a championship trophy, to bo held for one year, to be awarded to the school gaining most points. A tug of war contest for the boys, and numerous novelty events for both boys and girls, has also been arranged and should provide no end of amusing variety. A special bus timetable will give a quick service to and from the grounds. For a charge of 6d, afternoon tea will he obtainable on the grouids.
