The match New Zealand v. Waggu was concluded to-day, when the visitors won by an innings and 53 runs. Oliver and AiJcott the two not out New Zealanders, hit freely, and sixes and fours were frequent. The fourth century quickly appeared. Scoring was at the rate of two per minute. Bowling changes were frequent, but ineffective, till Higgins got Ailcott leg before, and the' innings was declared. The partnership yielded 196 runs, in 72 minutes. Oliver hit seventeen fours and two sixes, Ailcott nine fours and two sixes. Wagga’s second strike opened as disastrously as the first, the score being only fifteen when the first wicket fell. The Now Zealanders fielded brilliantly in the blazing sun. Ailcott was bowling brilliantly. Of his first throe overs, two were maidens, two runs were scored and he got one wicket. Wagga fought gamely but the visitors were too good.
