Mrs Ray Curnell, residing with her husband at St. K..da, was shot dead by a- man who called at her home late last night. From meagre details, it appears that the man engaged deceased in conversation at the door. A quarrel followed, and the man fired isix shots from a revolver, all taking effect. Ife then decornped. (Received December 16, 9.10 p.m.) MELBURNE, December 16. Details of the murder of Mrs Currell show that deceased’s husband saw the whole affair, and recognised the murderer, but the police so far have not effected an arrest. Mrs Ourrell was hit by four bullets. Two were fired at her husband ineffectually. Two neighbours also witnessed the occurrence, and followed the man some distance, but he escaped in the darkness. The neighbours informed the police that they noticed a man about sixvy-llvo nightly loitering in the vicinity.
