As Amuversary Day was a waterside honday* no work was done on .the vessel. She js expected, to commence discharge or Auckland general cargo to-day, and is timed to proceed to Dunedin m the evcu.ng, returning from the southern port on Wednesday, to load for Wellington and Auckland. The Holmdale is due to-day from the south, to load for Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth and Waikato Hedds, and is expected to sail in the levelling lor Lyttelton. ' The Union Co. advise that they expect the Waipahi about Friday from the south, to load for Wellington, Napier and Gisborne. She is timed to be despatched the same evening for Lyt’tellon. The Gale, to load for Wellington and Wanganui, is now scheduled for Tuesday, from Oamaru. , . 'J "fhe Kakapo also is expebted on Friday from Walpole' Island, with a part cargo of guano for discharge. Her movements after completion of operations here are indefinite. The tender of Mr Hunt, of Auckland 1 , of £5825, lias been accepted for the fuT tido walls for ihe new harbour at .Thames. Eight tenders were received, the highest being just under £IO,OOO. A suction cutter dredge is now being constructed, so within twelve months the greater portion of the scheme will be completed.
