' A wedding of much interest ys. solemnised m Knox Church, ami< t , on Wednesday, December 9th, 1920, bj the ltev. J. D. Wilson, when Lucy May, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs K K. Kingsbury, “Waieri,” was married to Frederick John, eldest son of All and Mrs W. F. Henshaw, Christchurch The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked radiant m a beautiful gown ot white bioche s . , with sleeves and floating handkerehiei points of georgette, and finished with pearls and sprays of orange blossom, also the usual veil ot tulle and orange blossom, which was held in place bv a bandeau of pearls. She earned a love j bouquet of schizantluis, roses and asparagus l'ern. , The bridesmaids, Misses Elsie and Rose Kingsbury, sisters ot the bride, were attired alike m pale pink crepe de cheno and silver lace, with silver shoes and head bands of silver leaves, and carried bouquets of pmk sweet peas and terns. ~ , , , , • The bridegroom was attended by his brothers, Messrs F. K. and W. xlenshaw, as best man and groomsman ‘The 1 church was beautifully decorated by girl friends of the bride, who was presented with a stiver horse shoe oh leaving the church. Later in the day, Mr and Mrs Kingsbury and Mr and Mrs Henshaw received their guests at ‘‘Waicn, Mrs Kingsbury wearing a costume ot dove giej jersey silk'with hat to tone, and carrying a'bouquet oi sweet peas and iein,s, and Mrs Henshaw wearing a smart navv tunic frock with small toque to match, and carrying a bouquet ol cream 1 °The happy couple left for the south, the bride wearing an ensemble costume of cinnamon nnirgcain, p, pretty nat o georgette, and a lovely blue wolf fui, the gift of the bridegroom. . In the evening a very pleasant social was held when upwards of a hundred couples enjoyed themselves with song and dance to music ably supplied b,> Miss Wilce, Mr W. Henshaw acting as M.C. .
