Big Concessions to Englishmen. ALLEGATIONS AGAINST KRIM. By Cable —Press Association —Copyright Australian, and N.Z. Cable Association. PARIS, December 13. The newspaper '“Nidi’’ publishes a remarkable story in which the speCia. correspondent at Fez declares that he lias seen a contract, dated June, 1923, between Abd-el-Krini and Captain Charles Gardiner, described as “financier, shipbuilder and engineer, of London,” under which, for the payment of £300,000 to be spent m arms and munitions for the Riffs, Mr Gardiner received all concessions in oil, mines, forests, Post Office, the telegraphic and telephone systems, docks, ports, Customs dues, railways and public works. The correspondent adds that in a word Abd-el-Krim sold 500,000 Riffs to Mr Gardiner for £300,000 plus a small share in the profits. The contract declines that the concessions are irrevocable for 99 years. Mr Gardiner is stated to be an exsea captain, who has been Abd-el-Krim’s adviser for the past two years.
