LABOUR CAUCUS AND DIRECTORS. ALLEGATIONS OF PLOT RIDICULED. By Cable —Press Association —Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. SYDNEY, December 15. The Labour Caucus, at a stormy meeting, almost unanimously repudiated the alleged plot by the Nationalists to bribe members of the Labour Party. Members generally took the view that the “plot” was without reasonable foundation. Explanations were given by the directors of the “Labour Daily” newspaper, but -were not satisfactory to the Caucus, which called for assurances, which were forthcoming, that the directors should immediately publish a complete statement, regretting the publication of the article.
