The scholarships will he ree.pineal between Australia and the fnited .States, students from one. country studying at the Universities of the other. They will lie carried out under the ciispees of the Laura Spellman Itockeleller .Memorial, hut tin: scheme is by no means eoiap'oto yet. The Rockefeller Foundation have invited Proiessor Copland to visit the Universities of the United Stales and Great Britain us the guest of the Foundation. Such a visit would he extended over a period of eight months and Professor Copland, accompanied by hi.s wile, hopes to leave in .May next. During the tour he will devote his whole time to investigating the development of economic and commerce studies i;\ the leading Universities. Tho information gained will he c-f great vadu/- to llie University of Melbourne, which ieeentlv established a. Chair of Comnierco to wh’eh Prod-mu- Copland was appointed in October. !!)'_’!.
