AUSTRALIA AND AUCKLAND DRAW. Pc Telf(rra%n —P.**** A**ocfatlAn. AUCKLAND, July 18. The hockey match Australia v. Auckland produced a brilliant exposition of the game, and resulted in a draw, one goal all. The Auckland forwards were the better, but the Australian backs were superior. Seaman scored for Australia, and C. Watts for Auckland. COMPETITION MATCHES. The following are tlio results of Saturday’s games:— MEN’S. C.F.C.A. met Geraldine A. at Geraldine, and were defeated by 3 goals to I. For the winners, goals were scored by .Bryant (2) and \ oss, and for the losers C. Rawstorn lound the net. Messrs J. Anderson and li. Herlihy controlled the game. Cambridge met and defeated Geraldine B. on the Park, by 6 goals to 3. For the winners goals were scored by Kennedy (3), Hughes (2), and Dobier. Mr A. Stead controlled the game. LADIES’. Stafford met Winchester at the Park, and the game resulted in a. drarv 1 all. Referees, Messrs L. Davies and Rev. Anderson. Tho game Timaru v. Celtic also resulted in a draw, no goals being scored. The referees were Messrs L. Davies and W. Hawkey. Milford met Orari at Oran, and were defeated by 10 goals to 1. Messrs L. Doc krill a lid W. Gow acted as referees. In the junior section, Timaru met Stafford and defeated them by 3 goals to nil. Messrs A. Goodman and R. Jones controlled the game.
