NEW LOCAL ANAESTHETIC DISCOVERED.

The discovery of a new local anaesthetic, possessing all the virtues of cocaine and none of its perils, was announced at the annual meeting ot the British Medical Association, at Bath, at which the Dominions, India, Ceylon and Hongkong are represented, [t was discovered by Dr. Copeland, of Cambridge, who was awarded a memorial scholarship of tlio value tn £2OO.
