SUVA EPIDEMIC.
TRACED TO BLOCKED MAIN. By Telecraph—Press AssorTMinn. WELLINGTON, June IS. Dr. G. Frenglcy, who returned from Suva this morning with four nursing sisters, states that the typhoid epidemic hgd been traced to a blocked water-main, which carried typhoid germs into the domain and contaminated tho town supply. About 300 people, including 120 Europeans, caught tho fever. The deaths were seven white people, including one or two New Zealanders. Suva is now quite safe for tourists. When Dr. Frongley left there wero no new cases except one or two Indians, who were catching lever from relatives.
