A meeting to consider the formation of an egg circle will be held In Hutchison’s rooms on Tuesday evening next. On Sunday evening a special entertainment will be given in the Theatre Royal, commencing at 8.15 in aid of the Mayor's Coal and Blanket Fund. This fund is in need of help, and a great programme of concerted numbers and an excellent 7-reel picture drama will comprise the bill, of which more will be 3aid in Saturday’s issjie. In view of the successes achieved by competitive societies in other centres, the inaugural festival of the Timaru Society, should meet with success. Timaru has always held an enviable reputation in regard to matters musical and elocutionary. Entries close with the lion, secretary, Mr C. G. Baker, to-morrow.
