Present indications are for strong jßo.uth to east winds northwards of .'Westport and Kaikoura, and variable breezes with easterlies prevailing else- ' where; weather cold and changeable -generally with passing showers, especially in the northern and East Coast districts. Barometer shows little 'movement, but conditions are threatening northwards of New Zealand.
