The State election' campaign was opened at Mossvale the. Premier, delivering a policy speech, which for the first time in the history of the State was broadcasted b$ wirelOss. After reviewing the past performances oj-the Government,. in Which he said the accumulated deficit left by the Labour , ’ Goverrimeht of £3,678,268, had been reduced by over £1,000,000, he claimed: that as the result of his administration, there, Would b© no. need, during the coming year, tq make an appeal ori. the local market for money. .The Government Intended to keep off the money, market uhtil the interest rate was reduced.
