A letter was received from the Mount Cook M*tor Company suggesting that the next Conference of the associated Chambers of Commerce might with advantage be held at the Mount Cook Hermitage. The secretary said he had forwarded a eo{).y of this letter to the Associated Chambers who would meet in conference at AVanganui. The secretary’s action was approved.

The Executive of the South Seas Exhibition advised that they would hold a meeting in Timaru on Tuesday next for the purpose of arranging for a South Canterbury Court, at the Exhibition.

The president and secretary were appointed to attend the meeting, as representatives of the Chamber, The president said he would be pleased to see as many members of the Chamber as Could make it convenient to do so, attend this meeting.

The secretary mentioned that the New Zealand Publicity office forwarded to the Chamber copies of tlieir advertising pamphlets or folders. These were remarkably ivell got up, a fid ccfmjanrod very favourably with the advertising matter issued by any other country. .It'was decided to thank the Now Zealand Publicity office for forwarding conies of these pamphlets. Mr Irwin said he had heard it mentioned that clay that in one of the recent pamphlets Mount, Cook, Gore, Invercargill aticl other places were referred to, but there was no mention of Timaru.

The secretary mentioned that Mr F. C. Roberts, , who is in charge of the New Zealand Coiirt at Womb lev Exhibition, had forwarded photographs ol the Court and particulars concerning it. These seemed to give the lie to the critics who condemned the New Zealand Court at Wemblev.
