There was a thrilling cinema episode in real life at tile Imperial Picture HoiiSe, Kilhjai'hock. McLean (operator) suddenly found the film burning. Fie was trapped amid a swirling torrent of Unhid, threatelling shocking death. He tried to put out the flames until lie fell unconscious.
Alediiwhile the public got safely out of the building. Tlie firemen were able to confine their efforts to the onerntor’s box and rewinding room. Climbing into the fiery box, a fireman picked up the unconscious man. thrust .him through the nrojectioli hole, and clambered back himself.
MaeLcan’s father was badly burnt in attempting to resend the operator. Littjc liarin was done to the building. ■ ■
