V ilsou (jockey); against their disqualification of 12 months by the Gore Racing Club, was concluded to-night. Mr G. E. Ciitry, stipendiary steward at' the meeting, gave evidence. The Dunedin District Committee then deliberated, and decided to dismiss the appeals. The deposits oi ±.o each were forfeited.

SOUTH CANTERBURY MEETING

ACCEPTANCES'FOR .FIRST DAY. • The South Canterbury Jockey Club’s spring meeting will be held, at Washdyke on Friday and Saturday. Acceptances for'the first day events have been received as follows: —

On Friday and Saturday special passenger trains will leave Timaru for the racecourse at 11.40 and 12.10, and depart from the racecourse on the return trip at 5.25 and 5.35. A special will leave Christchurch each day at 7.55, reaching the. course at 11.27, ami will start fpom Timaru on the homeward run :tt 6.40 p.m. The morning train trom Oamaru will depart at 7.45, and connect at Timaru with the first train to the racecourse. The evening train lor Oamaru ''and Waimate branch) is timed to leave Timaru at 6.10. The Fairlie branch train will pick up passengers at tire -*&i«ouriio aidjiiA AS 5.19.
