TRAPPED BY POLICE RUSE.

It was stated at the Durham Assize., when Alfred Brunton was sentenced to a flogging and eighteen months imprisonment, for robbing women, Jau, at night, that for -the purpose o» catching him, the police dressed as women, carrying Dorothy bags, am. well made up. B run to u was frightened by the bulk of one of these supposed women, and he bolted into the arms of a plain clothes policeman, and was caught.
