The competition for a new name for the Alexandra- Tea- Rooms, drew four. Inindretl'-and ninety-seven independent postal and delivered replies, containing over seven hundred suggested names. Letters were received from as far away as Cheviot in the north, and Gore in the south. The name chosen was “The Boulevard,” sent 'lh' by :Vlr Dixon, signwriter, Timaru, and Mrs Swinerd, c.o. Crown Hotel, Timaru, who will divide the £1 Is prize. The names next favoured were “The Ambassador,” “The Beresford.” Mr AVilsou, proprietor of “The Boulevard,” Stafford Street North, next- Dominion, thanks all the entrants for their help in making the competition such a successful one
