Chappie in the House of Commons yesterday, regarding the New Hebrides, was prompted by reports from .Australia o! the Presbyterian Mission’s allegations of unsatisfactory conditions in the Islands. Dr. Chappie stated to-day that he has so far received, no satisfaction, but will continue to k ask questions. -L lf tfit authorities rehiain uhalive to the necessity of rectifying the conditions oui there, he will keep tip the agitation until they do. “It is a trifling matter for France, said Dr. Chappie, “but vitally import ant for the natives.”
