ACTIVITIES OF AUSTRALIAN CLAIMANTS.

Two working men, brothers, John and Alexander Horrocks, have left foi England to prosecute claims to the Horrocks’ estates, comprising properties in the Wigan district of Lancashire, including the famous Horrocks calico business and numerous coal mines, said to be producing an income of nearly £1,000,000 annually. The brothers secured funds to make the journey and prosecute the claims by issuing £lO bonds, entitling tin.' holder to receive £IOOO in the event of the claims proving successful. These were freely subscribed. The estate has been the subject of litigation for many years.
