CANADA’S UNIQUE PROPOSAL.
By Cab'e—Press Association—Copyright. OTTAWA, June 24. In connection with the vote oi 300,000 dollars for the British Empire Exhibition, Mr J. A. Robb, Minister oi Immigration, said in the House of Commons, that the Government considered it wise to send a delegation of seven representing the different parties in the Senate, to mingle with the representatives of the other parts oi the Empire. The cost of transportation would be 400 dollars each, and living expenses 20 dollars daily in London, to be defrayed by the Government. It was suggested that the Chief Whip should be selected for the trip, ft is also the intention to include five members of the press gallery, there being no cheaper way of advertising than through the press. The delegation will be absent five oi six weeks.
