In the House of Commons, Mr G. Lansbury, asked if the Government would grant time for a discussion on his motion asking for the removal of Mr Justice McCardle from the Bench in connection with his sum-ming-up in the O’Dwyer case. Mr MacDonald said the Government had come to the conclusion that a discussion of the subject would only auu to the harm done in India by the words complained of.
