The Tokio correspondent of “The Times” says that much has been written about the Japanese naval losses during 'the late earthquake, but the loss in ships was really (.ruling. It is admitted that the loss of iuel, on stores, equipment, plans and machinery was considerable. Japan, however, lost nothing which it not replaceable. She still has a powerful navy in commission, and shipyards that the earthquake in no way affected.
