Special pie* parations are being made lor the *>'•>- tival, which should be a memorable event . At the eleven o’clock servico the children will sing two O’ecmi pieces, and will be addressed _bv the Vicar on “The Golden Balls. be evening service will commence with the ancient Processionale, ‘Hail, -testa! Dav.” At this service, also special commemoration will be made of lhcse parishioners who have served me church in the past, and who have gone to their rest. On Monday evening, a large gathering will oc he.d m the Parish Hall, when singing Ly the Children will again be a feature.
PARISH SALE OF WORK. .The annual sale of work and produce in connection with the parish or Temuka and Winchester will be held in the Parish Hall cm Thursday afternoon and evening. A feature of the work stall will be the children a dresses. Xo charge will he made tm admission during the afternoon. In the' evening a musical programme will be given by a large number of well known artists.
PICTURES TO-NIGHT. Another attractive Universal picturo “The Phantom Horseman will he shown at Temuka..Jack Hox.c popu lar in cowboy stones, is in the lead mu role, and is supported by a stiong cast. Another round of “The Lenthei Pushers,” starring Reginald Dennj, will also be shown. The supporting pictures include two comedies and an interesting Gazette.
NOTES. ‘ A children’s fancy dress ball, with a dance to follow will be held at Clandeboye on Friday, August loth.
