GOLDENBERG FOUND GUILTY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, June 19. Goldenberg was found guilty, and sentenced to death. PLEA OF INSANITY. ACCUSED’S VIOLENT OUTBURSTS.

LONDON, June 19
Goldenberg pleaded not guilty. His counsel announced that in the event ol the jury deciding accused was guilty, he proposed to apply for an acquittal on the ground of insanity. Constable Day gave evidenoe that when Goldenberg admitted the crime, he said he would do it again for money. Witness denied that Goldenberg was excited at the time, or made rambling statements, but admitted that he made a strange statement.
Superintendent Jones gave evidence that he had received an anonymous letter yesterday, signed “M,” which declared accused was innocent, as the writer committed the crime.
The Judge and counsel received similar letters.
The father gave evidence that when Goldenberg was a child, he fell and injured his skull. Afterwards he had a very strange manner and kept continually alone. When he enlisted, he write asking forgiveness, as his life had been a curse and everyone seemed to laugh at him.
During the cross-examination of hts accused arose in the dock and asked the Judge -to prevent counsel asking questions concerning his relations with a girl. “Stop him mentioning my girl’s name. I would sooner hang than have her mentioned.” / Throughout the hearing Goldenberg constantly interrupted the proceedings with violent outbursts.
