AVOIDING ARREST.
BOY DISAPPEARS. By Telegraph— Association. AUCKLAND, June 19. The disappearance of a sixteen-year-old boy, against whom a charge of manslaughter has been made out, was mentioned at the Police Court. It was stated that the boy was in charge of a motor car, which collided with, and fatally injured a widow, named Kate Doweling, in Karangahape Road, on May 17th. Charges of driving a car without a license, negligently driving a car, and failing, after tho accident, to stop and give his name and address were also preferred against him. The Magistrate issued a warrant for the arrest of the boy, whose name was suppressed.
