SCHOOL GAMES.

GERALDINE v. TECHNICAL. Pupils of the Geraldine District High School paid a visit to the Timaru Technical College yesterday to play games of basket-ball and football. The football was a fast and even §ame. The score at half-time was 8 to in favour of Timaru, and at the close the score was 13 to 6 in favour of the Technical College boys. Three teams of basket-ball girls took part. In the A. team match, Geraldine wero victorious by 12 points to (J. The B. team game resulted in a win for Timnru by 14 to 12, and the 0; team result was a win for Geraldine by 8 points to 0. Referees for rlie games wore Miss Earnic and Miss H. Cooper. Afternoon tea was dispensed by the Technical College girls, under the supervision of Miss Savage, and greatly appreciated. Mr Hammond, on behalf of Geraldine, thanked the Timaru hoys and girls for the good games and hospitality, and hoped to return the same on the return visit.
