Sales/on 'Change.—Mount Lyell (cum' div). 21s 6cl (two parcels;; Standard Insurance, 40s'. ’ NATIONAL BANK, By Telegraph—Press Association. , WELLINGTON, June 18.; The General Manager of the Na~ 1 tional Bank of New Zealand has received cable advice that the pront of the Bank for the y ear to 31st March last was £243,935, which, with £145,567 brought forward rrom the previous year makes the amounts available for distribution £389,502. Proposed appropriations are :—Premises account, £2o,000; reserve fund, £10,000; pensions fund, £28,944; pay ment ot dividend (12 per cent, per annum), and bonus (2 per cent.), both free of income tax, £17o,U00; to be carried forward, £155,558. , The net profit shown last year was £228,746, and with the amount brought forward; there was available for allocation £370,867, while this year the amount is £389,502, or nearly £19,000 more. With the proposed allocation of £IO,OOO and premiums received on tho new issue of shares, the reserve fund will stand at £1,470,000. The annual meeting of shareholders in London will be followed by an extraordinary meeting at which will be sub mitt-ed a resolution increasing the capital to £6,000,000, by the creation of 200,000 new shares at £7 10s ec<-!i. WOOL AND SKIN SALEA wool and skin sale was held in Tiniaru yesterday when £SO bales of wool were disposed of at satisfactory prices. About VUUU sheep skins were ouered, and a complete clearance was effected at very satisfactory prices. Full-wool-led haffbred fleeces brought up to 22}d; threequarterbred up to l7jd; crossbred up to 143 d; lambs up to 17 Jd; halfbred lambs up to 20d.
