In the third round of the Davis Cup Denmark defeated Italy by 3 matches to 2, and now meets Czechoslovakia. Results: In the singles, Demorpurgo (Italy) beat Tegner (Denmark) by 3 sets. Petersen (Denmark) beat Colombo (Italy) by 3 sets. Tegner beat Colombo by 3 to 1. Demorpurgo beat Petersen by 3 to 0. In the doubles, the Danes beat the Italians by 3 sets to 1.
