The “Daily Chronicle” states that a romantic claim to the Angell Benedict estate, in South London, valued at £60,000,000, is being made on behalf of William Allery, an eighty-year-old tailor. Allery’s agent states that he has obtained the highest legal opinion, which supports his claim. A fund of £SOOO is being raised to defray the cost of the application. Subscribers are promised a return of 1000 per cent, of their contributions in the event of the claim being successful.
