ARMED HOLD-UP.
MASKED MEN IN MELBOURNE. By Cable —Press Association —Copyright. MELBOURNE, June 17. A private party, composed of seven men, were playing cards, and amusing themselves in various ways on Sunda\ night, when four masked men,; armed with revolvers, entered the room and ordered all to put their hands up. The baudits then searched the persons and premises, seized money, jewellery and watches valued at over £2OO and escaped in a motor car. The police arrived a few minutes later. Up to the present there have teen no arrests. The bandits missed a vahiaah diamond ring which tho owner managed to drop down the back of his neck. Another stuffed £IOO in large noizs into his mouth and saved them.
