FAIRLIE GOLF CLUB

The monthly meeting of the Fairlie Golf Club was held on June 9.

Messrs R. L. Banks, McLean, S. Gillingham, and Trotter, were appointed a committee to make alteration to the links.

Mr T. D. Burnett, M.P., was thanked for a donation of £3 3s to the club.

It was decided that the ladies’ championship match for Mr Burnett’s trophy should be commenced in the first week in August, entries to be in the hands of the secretary not later than July 17. Play is to bo 18 holes match play, and tho final 36 holes, 18 on each of two days. The medal matches are to be played on June 26, and 28, and all medal games are to be played on the last Thursday and Saturday of each month in future. Tho combined foursome (bogey) is to’ be played on June 18 and 21.
