LEADS TO MURDER AND GAOL. By Received 5.5 p.m., June 16. LONDON, June 16. Tne Paris correspondent of the “Daily Chronicle” states that Granjeat and his wife,.who had just retired from the wine business at Genevilliers, might have been happy ever afterwards, but the wile, age 26, was a confirmed snuff taker. Ihe husband constantly reproached her with that and words led to missiles. Then maclame produced a re\ olier and shot her husband dead. -Through the wonderful, ways of French juries, madame was found not guilty of murder, and was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment “for blows and injuries not causing death.” -
