SALVAGE CLAIM.
RESCUE OF JAPANESE VESSEL. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Received 9.5 p.m., June 16. SYDNEY, June 16. The hearing has commenced of a claim against the owners of the Honolulu Maru, which was towed into Sydney, having sprung a leak. It was stated in evidence that tne value of the Japanese steamer was £87,000,-and the owners of the tug Champion claimed 10 per cent, of this value. . The question for the Court to decide was the amount of salvage to he paid, as the salvage of the vessel was not disputed.
