SATURDAY’S GAMES. The South Canterbury Hockey Association competitions were advanced a iurther stage on Saturday. in the Ladies section, Orari- accounted lor Timaru by eight goals to nil. 'the scorers for Orari, were : —E. Blisses tt (3), R .Blissett (1), R. Austin (1) J. Henderson (1), E .Harley (2). Referee, Mr W. G. Hawkey. Stafford and Celtic A. fought out a pointless draw. Celtic showed greatly improved form. Referee, Mr \V. G. Hawkey. . „ , In the men’s section, Cambridge travelled to Geraldine, and defeated the home B. team by 6 goals to 2. (handicap). Scorers: —A. Stead (3), J. Taverner (2), L. Davis (1). Mr L. Bennington ably controlled the game. On the Park grounds, C.F.C.A. met defeat at the hands of Geraldine A. whose fast forward line had the Yel low rearguard constantly in difficulties. For the winners Voss (4), Sharpe (2) Bryant (1), Maitland (1), were the scorers, and Dockerill (2), RawMorn (1), Stonyer (1), and Quartermain (1). found the net for C.F.C.A. Referee, Mr N. B. Edwards.
