OIL ABLAZE.
FEDERAL STOCKS DESTROYED

Two 17,000 gallon oil tanks at the Commonwealth Oil Refinery Works at Altona were greatly damaged and the oil contents were destroyed by fire. Gas from the burning oil exploded and blew the roofs off both tanks. The pump houses were nearly ignited. The engines and pumps were destroyed. The damage has not been estimated.
