INTERESTING SUIT IN IRISH COURTS. By Cable —Press Association —Copyright. (Received 5.5 p.m., "June 15.) LONDON, June 14. Mr Justice Brown and a special jury are hearing a suit at Belfast—the first of its kind ever heard in Ireland—in whichj John Connell, committed to an asylum last July, seeks a declaration that he is sane. Connell, some years ago, inherited £68,000, on which £28,000 remains. The evidence against the petition included that of a ticket collector, who described'how Connell, while journey* ing from Dublin to Belfast, handed 1 over a handful of notes to the Free State soldiers at several stations, tell ing them t.o. drink his health. The hall porter, at a London hotel, stated that Connell wanted him to paper the staircase with pound notes.
