MOTOR ACCIDENT.
YOUNG GTRL INJURED. A motor accident occurred near the Viaduct on Saturday evening about 8 o'clock a girl named Lucy AlcKenzie, being knocked down by a car, containthree vouths. Aliss AlcKenzie was a passenger on the bus (o town. She stepped off at the Viaduct , and started to cross the road from the rear of the bus towards Howling-- Street. The car was coming dov. n the hill in the opposite direction to the bus, and it is understood that the driver, dazzled by the fights of the bu>, did not. see Aliss AlcKenzie until too late. She wds thrown to the ground and suffered a broken leg and numerous bruises and cuts. She was also suffering from shock when picked up Miss AlcKenzie was removed to the Timaru Hospital bv the St. John Ambulance, and was reported last night to be making good progress.
