'There was a very large attendance ol Die public, and over 3u(j nags were distributed among keen buyers. All classes of vegetables sold readily. Prices realised last week were:—-
Apples—Delicious, choice 12s 6d, medium and inferior grades 4s (id to Ss tid; Stunners 8s till to 10s Gd ; Jonathans, os (id to 10s Gd; Wolscvs, 8s 6d to 9s Gd. Other varieties so-ld at prices ranging from os to 9s Gd. Pears, dessert. 4s Gd to Gs Gd ; cookers 4s Gd to 8s Gd ; Sydney oranges, 12s to 15s; mandarins (bad order) (is to 12s; pines 18s, passions 18s, Californian lemons 36 s to 38;s, Australian lemons :i2s Gd. Tomatoes, local hothouse, 7d to lOd lb; Australian grapes to 18s case. Vegetables —Cabbage 5s to 6s dozen; pumpkins, 14s sack; marrows, 14s sack.
