DESIRE POLITICAL REPRESENTATION. By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 13. A meeting of the Industrial Corporation of New Zealand resolved to change the name to the New Zealand Aianufacturers’ Corporation. There was no change made in the constitution. Tlie meeting discussed the question of direct representation in Parliament of manufacturers’ interests. It was resolved, “that this corporation, while, against the creation of another Party in Parliament, desires direct lepresentation, and urges the diflerent industrial associations to try to pursuaile some of its members acceptable to the respective political parties, to submit themselves as prospective can didate.s; further, that this corporation take steps to see that candidates lor Parliament are fully informed as to the needs of the local manufacturers; -hat suitable questions are submitted to all such candidates witli the object of ascertaining their attitude towards the secondary industries.”
