DAMAGES CLAIMED.

The Manukuu Licensing Committee on Monday refused to grant a renewal pf the licenses of the Hibernian Hotel, Onehunga, to F. C. Bass. Counsel tor the licensee then intimated that he would move for a mandamus to have the case removed to the Supremo Court to overrule the committee's action.
Bass has now taken preliminary cteps towards an action for damages claiming £2OOO from each member ot tlie committee excepting Mr McKean. S.M., chairman, who was not present at Monday’s meeting.
