Mexico severed reiiilioiio uitli lingland by ordering the expulsion of Mr Gordon Cummins (Lritish Charge d’Affaires), '"'ho is now hidden in the British Legation, which is surrounded by police, waiting the opportunity to convey formal notice of expulsion. The bother is caused by friction between the British and Mexican Governments, also by a number of letters written by Mr Cummins to friends in England, using terms and descriptions that injured the dignity of Mexico. Officials gained access to these letters, and gathered other proofs, pinpointing to show that Mr Cummins hau made continued efforts to create friction between the Governments.
