IN THE CHURCHES.

At Bank Street Methodist Church, Rev. A. C. Lawry will be the preacher to-morrow. At 11 there will be a “Family Service for Old and Young,” and at 6.30 a special musical service. At Woodland Street, Rev. H. J. Odell will officiate at 11 and 6.30. At Waimataitai anniversary services will be conducted by Rev. T. W. Potts and Mrs Odell. 1 At Kensington Mr Workman will preach in the morning, and Mr Brown at night; at Upper Pareora Rev. A. Blalcemore at 11, and Mr Irwin at 6.30; Lower Pareora, Mr Bird at 11, and Rev. A. Blakemore at 6.30. In the afternoon Rev. A. C. Lowry will preach at Fairview, Rev. H. J. Odell at Bluecliffs, and Rev. A. Blalcemore at Kingsdowm. The services in Chalmers Church will be conducted by the Rev. P. Gladstone Hughes. The subjects of the addresses will be “After Three Years: an Anniversary Message,” and “On Following the Gleam.” A solo will be rendered at the evening servee by Mrs Allchurch. The Rev. J. R. Hervey will preach on the well-knowui hymn “Holy, Holy, Holy,” at St. Peter’s Church, Temuka, on Sunday evening. The hymn will be sung during the service.

The service in the Unitarian Hall will be conducted by Rev. W. Jellie, B.A. He will speak on the life of Joseph Priestley, pioneer of science and martyr to political and religious intolerance.

Celebrations of the Holy Communion will be held at St. Mary’s Church, to-morrow, at 8, at St. Michael’s at 9.30, at Glen-iti at 10, and at St. John’s at 11. Festival services will be held at St. John’s in celebration of the anniversary of the opening of the church. The services at the Baptist Church will be conducted by the Rev. H. G. Goring, the subjects being “The Cost of Faithfulness,” and “The PenKnifed Word.” All are welcome.

At the Congregational Church on Sunday, the morning service will be conducted by Mr T. Steele, and the evening service by the Rev. T. Wilson Potts.
