The tio for t-no second prize in the Dryden Cup foursomes will also be played off on Saturday next, the players and handicaps being as follows : Miss Buchanan and Grcsson (13), Aliss Crawford and Hudson (13), Aliss Ant.tey and Beswick (20). This tie will have to be played under the old bogey and local rules.

NORTH END CLUB. The course at the show' grounds is locking well at present, ana the fairways are in good order, though the greens are still a- little on tne rough side. The club has hardly got into its stride as yet-, as tar as the competitions are concerned, but the ladies nave got off" a few games of their cliampionsnip matches. The men’s championships will be started shortly. Last Saturday a mixed foursome was played, and to-day the club will play a match against Geraldine, for which the following players have been selected to represent A'orth End:—Alessrs 1. J. Bradley, J. Anderson, H. C. Bradley, J. Alenzies, W. Sergeant, H. j. ft. Somerville, Aitken, and AlcTntyre.

(By “Jigger.” . I Tho golf season is now in full swing, ; and competitions and matches are proceeding in both the local clubs. Ihe courses are looking as well as can bo expected, and grass is beginning to make its appearance again; a littio more rain would, perhaps, greatly benefit tho fairways and greens. J The fences surrounding the greens j on the Highfielcl links have been re- ! moved, greatly to the relief of the players, and the services of the sheep have been dispensed with for two or three months. Grass is beginning to grow in patches on the fairways, but- i the greens are still somewhat bare. The cutting of a drain outside tho boundary at tho first hole has fed most of the wafer away from tno bunker, and has been a great improvement. The membership of the Club has increased to over 200 men this year, a record number, and several new members are still to he elected.
