The “Daily Express” states it is probable that the English' team ■ for Australia will he A. E. Gilligan (captain), Wood, Chapman, C. H., .Gibson, Hobbs, Sutcliffe, Heafne, Hen-, dren, Woolley, Tate, Parkin, Kilner, Bowley, Geary, Howell, and reserve wicket-keeper, Smith; (of Gloucestershire) or Duckworth (of Lancashire).
Contrary to earliest impression, Hobbs is likely to make the tour if
liis wife can accompany him
Hearne’s health is not good,, and the sea voyage and heat will not suit him, but he is anxious to go to Australia again.
Business will prevent Fender go-
