FIRE AT TEMUKA.
DRAPER’S SHOP DESTROYED
Advice was received early this morning than a serious fire had occurred in Temuka at about 1 a.m. The scene ot the outbreak was Tilbrook’s building, occupied by Mrs Bucklaud as a drapery establislmient, which was completely gutted despite all efforts by the brigade.
The lire, which was discovered at 1 a.m., then had a good hold, and Mr and Mrs Buckland just in time managed to rescue the children who were asleep. At the time of going to press details were very meagre, but the Brigade were still occupied in protecting the adjoining buildings.
