GENERAL LABOURERS’
UNION. -- TIM VflU BRANCH. The mouthlv meeting of the General Labourers’ Fnion was held on Saturday last, Mr R. Welker presiding All the recominenflationii put forward bv the executive were adopted. ‘ It was decided to endorse the secretary’s action rc Mrs Grecnhow case. A lengthy report from the delegates to tho L.li.C. was given, and it was agreed, that this branch take 1.0 action in regard to the sending of a delegate from tho L.R.C. to tho conference, which was held in Dunedin last April. It was agreed that a special meeting be held on June 18th, to recoivo tho report of tho Labour Party Conference. —It was left with tho secretary to make arrangements, and sis'?) advertise same. Tho secretary reported on a member who had completely lost liis sight, r.nd had been removed to an institution.— It was agreed to donate £3 to this member. It was agreed to send a delegate to the annual meeting, to be held in Christchurch, on June 24th, and tho secretary (Mr J. It. Sneddon) was uppointed.
