MR WILFORD AT FUKEKOHE

■Hr T. M. Wilford addressed a crown ed gathering at Pukehoke last night, and was given an attentive hearing. A motion of confidence in the Liberal Party and Mr Wilford was moved: and also an amendment of no confidence in the Liberals, but of confidence in the Reform Party and Mr Massey, The chairman put flic motion of confidence in the Liberals and Mr Wilford to the meeting, so that thoso wishing to vote for Reform and M: Massey, could do so by opposing tho Liberal motion. On a show of hands the motion, expressing confidence in the Liberals and Mr Wilford, was passed by a large majority and declared carried by tho chairman. Scenes of enthusiasm followed, and cheers and counter cheers were given.
