WEDDINGS.

AicFAUL—NICHOLAS. An exceptionally pretty and popular wedding was solemnised at St. Peter’s Church, Teniuka, on Thursday, the contracting parties being Shirley, youngest, daughter of Airs and the late Mr N. C. Nicholas, of Teniuka, and Daniel, youngest son of Air and Airs AlcFaul, of Liuwood, Christchurch. The ceremony was performed by tho Rev. A. H, Norris, formerly of Teniuka, and now of Cashmere Hills, Christchurch. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law (Air J. Donehue) was gowned in a frock of ivory satin with georgette sleeves, The skirt was prettily draped to the hip and caught with a rosette of silver tissue, with a side panel of silver lace. Worn with this was a net veil, hand embroidered, arranged mop cap style, held in position by a dainty silver band finished with orange blossom and tiny pink rosebuds. Tho toilette was completed by a dainty bouquet of white flowers and asparagus fern. The bride was attended by Aliss Aimee Bambridge, who was froclted in shell pink georgette. She carried a bouquet of pal© pink crysanthemums and asparagus fern. Little Blanche Joynt, who acted as flower girl, looked sweet in a frilled frock of pale lavender georgette over pink, finished with satin streamers and rosebuds. Air G. Garriock, of Christchurch, acted as best man. After the ceremony about sixty guests were entertained at the Parish Hall. The bride and bridegroom left by the express on route for the North Island, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride’s travelling costume was light fawn gaberdine hand embroidered, her lint being nigger marocain with an oriental crown. A handsome marmot fur coat completed the toilette.

BERRYAIAN—JACKSON. At St. Andrew’s Church, Christchurch, recently, Aliss Dorice Jackson, second daughter of All' C. AI. Jackson. Aferivale, was married to Air George Berryman, of Timaru, elder son of All T. Berryman, Richmond The official ing clergyman was the Rev. N. L. D. Webster, ALA. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a pretty frock of silver grey marocain, beautifully embroidered, and a hat of silver brocade. She carried a shower bouquet of chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids were Aliss Ivy Berryman, sister of flic bridegroom, wbo wore seagreen shot taffeta, with black hat. trimmed with roses to match her frock, and carried a shower bouquet of purple irises and violets, and Marjorie and Ngnb'c Ruddock, little nieces of tho bride, who wore dainty frocks of salmon pink crepe de chene. and pink tulle headdresses. Their posies were of pink and white rosebuds. The briden'mom was accompanied bv Air Gerald Latiyon, as best man. After the ceremony n reception was held by AI” and Airs Jackson in Rt. -Andrew’s Hall. the usual toasts were honoured.
